Welcome to the Fauquier CADRE (Community  Alliance for Drug Rehabilitation and Education) web site.  CADRE is  dedicated to minimizing the threat of alcohol, tobacco and drug use in  the Fauquier County community.  CADRE, although primarily dedicated to  adolescents and young adults, readily provides information, education  and referrals to all persons who need assistance with alcohol, tobacco  and drug prevention.

CADRE Funding Crisis
As of October 1, 2009, CADRE’s efforts to curb drug use in Fauquier County will be cut in half.  50% of Fauquier CADRE’s funding comes from a federal grant, and since CADRE has now received ten years of federal substance abuse prevention grants, it is no longer eligible for any more grant money.  What happens now?  With no funds to replace the federal grant, CADRE will have to terminate a number of its programs and will have to lay off one its two prevention specialists.  Please help CADRE and support substance abuse prevention efforts in Fauquier County by donating today!
